Hello Creatives!
It's that time again when we choose our one little words for the year. I've been racking my brain like many of you to choose the right word this year. It really should be a word that you can consistently reflect on through out the year to document, and in some ways so much more. Last year my one little word was"restore", and I feel like I couldn't have made a better choice in choosing it. I was diagnosed with several chronic illnesses last year, and decided that this past year was going to be my journey to restoring myself to a better healthier me. Although I really wanted to concentrate my efforts on pushing my business efforts more, I know from experience that I needed to be balanced in life all around; I needed to restore my body to a healthier happier me and that was going to take a bit of sacrifice on my part. Sacrifice is actually a word that I feel comfortable with. Sometimes, sacrifice doesn't always having to mean giving up or living without. I means we choose something to work on while sacrificing things that fill our lives, for a better more logical outcome in the end. We sacrifice time and ourselves, not to live without, but the get to something better.
So, this year I "restored" myself and my health in so many ways. This year I decided to continue that with my 2018 one little word "minimal".
Our lives are filled with so many things, and believe it or not, we don't need them. I really wanted to start living a life with less, and being satisfied that everything I owned or bought, had a purpose.
For the past year I've headed knee deep into organic food, oganic natural makeup, and just about everything else in between that is good for my body. And settled on two of my must haves for this year.
1. Headspace which is an amazing meditation app, ( I'll write a bigger blog post on this later with my amazing review)
and
2. The Minimalist movement. If you have Netflix please search " minimalist" and watch this amazing documentary on de-cluttering your life, simplifying the things you need in it, and how everything you have, should have a purpose.
This week's release is all about your one little word. I've made a social customization flair pack that you can snag with your olw on, or customize it in many other ways, such as a child's name, your last name, and whatever ideas you come up with.
I'm also giving away a free set this weekend to one lucky follower, a customized set for #sundayscrap. Head over to my Instagram feed and find out more this sunday!
